hello brother! i dont know if there is halal food in Swissotel, but you can go to nearby shopping malls like Siam Paragorn (there is halal food stall in the foodcourt, lowerground) or at Mah Boon Krong Mall (MBK). you can check in this article for halal food at MBKmall : https://papayapokpok.wordpress.com/2010/12/29/mbk-center-mah-boon-krong-belanja-dan-makan-halal-bahasa/
For Chatuchak market, yes there are some halal food stalls and you can read the info in this link: https://papayapokpok.wordpress.com/2010/02/14/chatuchak-weekend-market-shop-and-eat-halal-food/
For fast food restaurant in Thailand, no one has halal registration, but heard that chicken in KFC is from halal source/farm/abattoir. and KFC does not have pork menu, while others have. So I think you can have menus from KFC. wallahu’alam. have a nice trip at Bkk!

assalamkm dear brother syafnee,
the attachment picture of the halal logo is what i am looking for.. i am seeking your permission to save the logo, so could i share the logo with my frens?
anyway inregards to KFC.. i have a doubt .. as u know that if the muslim association in Thailand approved on the halal matters for sure the need to provide halal labelling in KFC stores “widely” to be implemented… even so there’s a rumours that KFC taken from the halal source its better to confirm with the muslim association in Thailand first before suggest to consumers… doesn’t mean no pork is halal… in a matter of halal one is to ensure the meat to be slaughtered accordingly to the muslim way and so do the utensils used and etc… pls consider to check with the muslim association first… for now its better to remain encouraging consumers with your “list of halal restaurant” instead of fast food that we are still in doubt… this is only my point of view so pls take this comment positvely…
May Allah give us hikmah and guide us in islam.. insyallah…

wa’alykum salaam, my dear brother, I fully agree with you about that. It is safer for us to consume all that obviously halal and leave those ‘grey’ foods. about the logo, sure you can share. wassalam.

Norhisham bin Othman
Aug 22, 2013 @ 16:21:43
Memang minus traffic jam namun jika nak travel cheaply, exit International Arrival Gate, tengok ke A1 bus which is Don Meuang-Mo Chit BTS Station, bus warna oren, bayar 30 baht, bas akan berhenti di Mochit BTS station, sambung BTS dari Station Mochit and stop at Rajthewi station, dari sana boleh nampak First Hotel on the left hand side of Phetch bhuri Road, kalau 7 orang dengan bag besar2 untuk shopping, naik 2 taxi. Saya travel light, dan perhatikan locals jalan kaki dan ambil van atau bas kuning 29 di bas stop depan Don Mueang, mereka berhenti di Mochit BTS juga, tambang van 20 bht, bas 16 baht, namun jika bag kecil.. nak experience cara locals travel, journey by bas or van from DM to Mo Chit 25-30 minutes.Jika saya, usah duduk The First Hotel, try The Bangkok City Hotel, 1190 baht dapat Standard Room dgn lokasi yg dekat Soi 7 Masjid Darul Aman dan makanan Melayu, website dia ada.

The bangkok city hotel bersih tak?dekat dengan area prtaunam ke?
Norhisham bin Othman
Aug 22, 2013 @ 17:16:39
Sila refer website untuk gambar, WIFi ada, ada electric kettle, hair drier dan bath tub, AMerican/Thai style breakfast from0700-100 am every day inclusive, the croissants are nice, chicken sausage and chicken datang dari Saha Farm Muslim Food, tukang masak dia Alesha Muslim dari area Bang Krue, belakang Hotel ini, up to you, from Bangkok City, cross the road using the pedetrian overhead bridge near The Diamond Hotel, wait for bus No 2( 8 baht) or bus 60. ( air cond or not air cond) pay 12 baht, say Pai Pratunam… 5 minit dh tiba at Pratunam. Pratunam is located opposite Platinum Center or near Amari Watergate Hotel, tiada masalah to and fro nak jalan kaki from Bangkok City Hotel to Pratunam.. dari Bangkok City pun boleh nampak Pratunam. Paling dekat hotel ialah Center Point Apartment right in Phetch bhuri beside Pratunam, The Bangkok City Hotel rated 5 stars by Trip Advisor as value budget hotel.

Ok. Menginap di bangkok city hotel nightlife best tak?
Norhisham bin Othman
Aug 23, 2013 @ 15:43:15
What do you mean by nightlife? Nightlife is very very active in Soi 4 Nana or Sukhumvit 23 at Soi Cowboy or even in Pattaya, if shopping then you start at Pratunam, Platinum Mall, MBK and Chatujak Weekend Market and Siam Paragon for branded original stuffs, the rest is not for me to propose.

Dear Brother Syafnee,
I am living at Taopoon Mansion, Bang Sue and I work at Baan Rajvethi near Tuuk Chen (Victory Monument 1.5 KM). At both places didn’t find Halal food. I contacted Ziniza Bangsue, they said they don’t deliver food. As I am wheelchair user, how can I order nearest Halal food. I am also worried about KFC.

dear brother, apologize just to reply you now and I am afraid that I’m not familiar with the area. About KFC, there is strong indication that it is halal (info from fellow muslims). But need to be confirmed again.

Assalamualaikum,
Around Amari is the Pratunam Market, cross the busy street, take bus No 60 or 511 and stop at the bus stop just after Samran Place Hotel or Bangkok City Hotel, across the bus stop is Soi 5 Phetchbhuri, use the pedestrian bridge, turn right and walk a few metres until you see Soi 7 Thanon Surao and there is a Masjid Darul Aman, many Southern Muslims stay there so speaking Malay is not a problem, this soi has food selling as early as 0600 am and at 1000 pm local time you can still find something to eat. There are many places to eat around Indra Regent and below Baiyoke Sky Hotel but mostly Indian Muslim/ Pakistan cuisine, from Amari Watergate, there is a mosque at Phetchbhuri 35 but I do encourage you to check out Soi 7 first.
